Illustrated instruction for Nochlezhka
Nochlezhka is a charity organisation that helps homeless people, including assisting them on the path of reintegration into society. The organisation needed simple illustrated instructions about how diverse fundraising can be for their volunteers.
I used a puzzle piece as a visual metaphor — a symbol of the small, but unique contribution of each volunteer to a great common cause, and I formatted that idea in the set of nine cards.
Illustration for documentary film "Lepota",
commissioned by the Bang! Bang! Studio
"Lepota " is the documentary about the history of Russian visual culture from the origins of the Cyrillic alphabet and folk crafts to constructivism, Soviet DIY and metamodernism. Authors of the film asked local illustrators to create interpretations of iconic
and stereotypic symbol of Russian culture — balalaika and to combine their arts into animation cover for the film. In my piece I mixed architectural elements from different ages of Russian history
with folkloric characters.
